Swindon Symphony Orchestra Celebrates Swindon175
Swindon Symphony Orchestra
The SSO have been playing together since 1989 and with their conductor Malcolm Webb will be raising the roof of the Great Hall at STEAM
“Enjoy a concert of lighter orchestral music to celebrate Swindon175! All musical items have a link with Swindon - so see if you can work out the Swindon connections of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Rachmaninoff 2nd piano concerto and more besides! Hungarian pianist, Daniel Lebhardt is soloist for the concert. Daniel has impressed audiences and critics alike with his thoughtful interpretations and outstanding virtuosity.”
The Orchestra are really looking forward to the concert and really want to embrace the spirit of Swindon 175. That’s why we’ve put together a programme of some of the most popular orchestral music that has been written. We hope the music will appeal to those people who are long term orchestral music lovers and to those who may not have been to an orchestra concert before. We also hope that it will appeal to families through it’s links to some of the great films of the last 85 years. We think there is something for everyone here.
Your ticket will also give you FREE access to walk around the fantastic STEAM Museum prior to the performance starting!
