The International Guild of Town Pipers
About
The guild is an umbreller organisation which aims to bring together musicians and bands who have a passionate interest in town waites and pipers from across Europe. The guilds member groups perform early music on copies of original instruments and wear clothes appropriate to the time of the music. The guilds webpage acts as depository for historical information and research on the history of the waits and their function. As well as advetising the activities of its members. The guild organises a bi annual festival where member groups come together to perform and learn from each other. In 2024 we held our 10th festival and in 's Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Our 11th festival will be in 2026
