Bach Mass in B Minor

The world-renowned English soprano Dame Emma Kirkby will be one of the soloists at the performance of J S Bach’s Mass in B minor at St Peter’s Church, Harrogate in October.  Harrogate music lovers should not miss this opportunity to hear this virtuoso soprano.  Emma was awarded a DBE in 2007, and in 2011 the Queen’s Medal for Music.

The other soloists will be Aoife O'Connell (soprano), Emma Stannard (mezzo-soprano) James Micklethwaite (tenor) and Andrew Greenan (bass).  The combined choirs of St Peter's Church and Vocalis chamber choir (director Alexander Kyle) are joined by the Harrogate Bach Players (leader Fiona Love) directed by John Longstaff, Director of Music at St Peter’s with Alan Horsey organist.
