Come and Sing 'Best of Baroque'

To launch their 50th Anniversary celebrations, Vocalis Chamber Choir is to host a Best of Baroque Come and Sing event this autumn, on Saturday 21October 2023, 1.30-7pm at St Peter's Church, Cambridge Road, Harrogate HG11PB.

Singers are warmly invited to join Vocalis to sing some well-known and glorious masterpieces by great Baroque composers for an exciting and rewarding day of rehearsal culminating in a 'Best of Baroque' public performance at 6pm.

Our conductor for the day is Alexander Kyle, our brilliant Musical Director. He has chosen an exciting programme of music including movements from Vivaldi's Gloria, J S Bach's Magnificat, Purcell's Hail Bright Cecilia and pieces by Handel and Peruchona's Cessate Tympana. 

We are delighted that Eleonore Cockerham will be the soprano soloist. Eleonore has sung internationally with Voces 8 and is now singing professionally as a freelance musician.  John Longstaff, renowned musician and Director of Music and Organist at St Peter's Church will accompany.
