Rossini's delightful setting of the Mass, which is neither little nor solemn. Rossini was the greatest Italian opera composer of his generation, and this mass setting is full of operatic flare. Rossini is best known for his comic operas, and both the composer’s operatic flare and his sense of comedy shine throughout the work.
