Whittington Music Festival
The festival presents 7 concerts of chamber music, jazz and song over 5 days. The celebrated tenor Roderick Williams OBE is singing Schubert's Swanengesang, Vaughan Williams' On Wenlock Edge and songs by Rebecca Clarke. Jazz will be a selection from her albums played by Zoe (piano) and Idris (clarinet) Rahman. Chamber music will include Brahms' Piano Quartet No 1, Ravel's Introduction and Allegro, Chausson's Concerto op 21 for violin, piano and string quartet and Prokofiev's Overture on Hebrew Themes.

Whittington is aa historic village near Oswestry in the Welsh Marches and its Georgian church has an excellent acoustic and open sight lines.
£12 for the two early evening concerts and the family concert, and £16 for four main concerts. Free entry for anyone aged 25 or less.
