Wooburn Singers

Joined by cellist Sally Pendlebury and pianist Simon Howat, Wooburn Singers are delighted to present a programme designed around solo cello and voices. The concert opens with Tavener's intense setting of Svyati, sung at almost every Orthodox service. Then moving back in time to Bach's Lobet den Herrn. The concert also includes cello solos from Bach and Rachmaninoff, plus a first performance of a piece by Aaron King, specially commissioned for this concert.
