Resonet in laudibus - Let praises resound

Yeovil Chamber Choir

Following a highly successful collaboration last year, Axminster Chamber Choir and Yeovil Chamber Choir will be reuniting to perform a concert entitled “Resonet in laudibus – Let praises resound” at the beginning of December. In all, over 40 local singers will take part in the concerts, which will be directed by Peter Parshall who is Guest Director for both choirs. “The choirs and audiences so enjoyed our joint concerts last year, that we decided to do it again” says Peter. “Many of the pieces to be performed have eight voice parts, so it is ideal to be able to combine two small chamber ensembles, enabling us to bring out the richness and variety to be found in these Baroque and Romantic pieces.” Music by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Rheinberger, Hassler and Praetorius, amongst others, will feature during the concerts, which take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday December 2nd in the Church of St Peter & StPaul, South Petherton, TA13 5DY and at 3.00pm on Sunday 6th December in The Minster Church of St Mary, Axminster EX13 5AQ.
