Handel’s Israel in Egypt
York Musical Society
Israel in Egypt was Handel’s most ambitious work in oratorio composition, with epic choruses often in eight parts. It is a work of unparalleled grandeur and dramatic colour composed entirely of selected passages from the Old Testament (mainly Exodus and Psalms). We are delighted to be joined by members of St. Michael’s Singers from Coventry for this concert. Please note that tickets are booked via the York Theatre Royal website. Please follow the 'What's on' link to 1 April 2017 to find the concert. For enquiries please contact York Musical Society comms@yorkmusicalsociety.org.uk.
