Music director

Cantores Chamber Choir are looking for a new musical director to start in September 2019, as after a long and happy association, our current MD is retiring.

Cantores Chamber is an auditioned choir of 26 singers who love to sing a varied programme of old and new sacred and secular choral music often in 8 or more parts. We are good sight readers and enjoy the challenge of new music. Our ambition is to put on quality performances.

Cantores is primarily an a capella choir but our repertoire includes some accompanied works.

We rehearse every Wednesday from 7.30-9.30 in the Reading Room at Rendcomb College, GL7 7HA.

We are looking for someone who is an experienced conductor and choral trainer with high musical expectations, has the ability to enthuse and is able to select a varied and challenging repertoire.

The closing date for applications is 28/2/19 and interviews and a 30 minute trial rehearsal will be held on 27/3/19 or 3/4/19 (other dates may be possible)
