On 28 October 2025, we'll be launching our new website, with enhanced features and functionalities for members.
Why the change?
Change is always tricky to navigate, but we believe it's a step in the right direction. The new website will make it easier to find information and member benefits, it will work better on smaller screens like smartphones and tables, and run faster.
What will happen?
As we're migrating all pre-existing content to a new website, we will have to enforce a short data freeze and a brief period of downtime.
From 20 October to 27 October, there will be a data freeze on the current website, and no major updates can be made. The website will still be viewable during the data freeze, and you can read pages as normal.
On 28 October, there will be a period of downtime of a couple of hours, where the website cannot be accessed anymore, and no pages can be viewed. During this time, we won't be able to e-mail members. If we need to notify members of anything, we will update this temporary page: makingmusic.site. Make sure to bookmark this page and check it during the downtime. We will also be posting any updates on our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.
Once the downtime is over, the new website will be live. All website links will stay the same. Member accounts and group information will be transferred over.
Making Music Platform websites will be unaffected and you can continue to update and manage them as usually.
What do members need to do?
During the data freeze, we ask all members to avoid making any non-urgent updates to their group information (i.e. adding members, creating events, updating your group's information etc.). If you have any urgent changes that need to happen, contact us directly during this period.
During the downtime, make sure you check the temporary page makingmusic.site and our social media for any updates.
Once the new website is live, you will need to reset your password. Your login information (your e-mail address) will stay the same. Just navigate to the login page of the new website, type in the e-mail you used for the account, and click on 'Forgot password?', which will then guide you throught the password reset process.
What will happen next?
After launching the new website, we will be publishing some guides on how to make the most out of it.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
