Independent music publishing house Stainer & Bell have secured worldwide distrubtion of Elgar Works titles as of June 2025.
Dedicated to the advancement of the study and accessibility of the music and legacy of Sir Edward Elgar, one of Britain’s most celebrated composers, the Elgar Works charity publishes meticulously researched editions of Elgar’s music, prepared by leading scholars and editors, providing access to the most accurate and insightful interpretations of his work.
This landmark agreement marks the first time that Elgar Works' scholarly and authoritative editions will be available globally through a single, trusted distributor. Stainer & Bell will make the full Elgar Works catalogue (the Elgar Complete Edition, the Edward Elgar Collected Correspondence and all associated rental materials and individual publications) available to performers, libraries, academics and music enthusiasts around the world, significantly broadening the reach and impact of Elgar's music.
With its long history of publishing major scholarly series such as The Byrd Edition, Purcell Society Editions, Early English Church Music and Musica Britannica, Stainer & Bell is delighted to welcome this important collection of British music into its distribution portfolio.
