Wymondham Symphony Orchestra is recruiting a new Musical Director
Our current Director, who has directed the orchestra for 20 years, will be retiring in July 2025 and we are looking for a replacement to commence in September 2025.
The orchestra, based in Wymondham in South Norfolk, has been in existence for over 40 years. It rehearses on Tuesday evenings during school term times. It is an enthusiastic, friendly group which performs 3-4 concerts/per year, mostly in the beautiful location of Wymondham Abbey.
The Musical Director we would like to appoint will have:

Experience of conducting an orchestra
The ability to motivate the orchestra members to achieve high performance standards
Ability to lead rehearsals with good humour and respect for members
Good organisational skills
Be prepared to work collaboratively with the orchestra Committee
Design concert programmes in conjunction with the Music Committee and members

The selection process will be by interview in late January 2025 and auditions in March/April 2025.
