Job specification

The Conductor/Musical Director will be required to:

-Plan and budget the concert programmes and liaise with the Treasurer and Chair of the Committee

-Direct regular rehearsals and conduct the concerts

-Engage the soloists and orchestras

-Attend planning and other meetings ex officio, as required

-Stimulate the choir and encourage them to develop their vocal abilities to produce performances of a high order

Qualifications

The conductor should have either a relevant academic qualification offering general music training, a knowledge of choral music and conducting choirs and orchestras or good experience in these areas.

The successful applicant should have the enthusiasm, confidence and sense of humour to motivate Chorale members to produce of their best and have fun doing so.

Salary negotiable.
