The Gal Trio

Berwick Music Society

Initially united by studying music at the University of Edinburgh, the Gal Trio features Emma Cairns and Elinor Roderick (violin/fiddle) and  Serenna MacLellan (flute).

Originally formed to play during the 2023 UNESCO Week of Sound, they liked each other so much that they became a permanent group. All three are passionate about diverse genres and promoting inclusive access to music.

They look forward to bringing a rich and varied collection of music to the Berwick Music Society, including works by Hans Gál, Ernst Spies, Valerie Coleman and traditional folk. We are delighted to feature the Trio as our “Rising Stars Artists” for the 2024/25 season.
