Britten & Holst orchestral workshop

The Rehearsal Orchestra

A one-day workshop on Benjamin Britten's music for the Royal Ballet's "Prince of the Pagodas" alongside the overture "Persephone" by Imogen Holst, Britten's long-term assistant, under conductor Alice Farnham.

Rehearsals take place in the morning and afternoon, and the day culminates in Open Rehearsal/informal playthrough at the end of the afternoon.

Applications are invited from orchestral players over the age of eighteen, playing at Grade 8-plus.

Strings are led by a team of experienced professional section principals.
