Vivaldi: Gloria

Leicester Philharmonic Choir

Join members of the Phil for their summer concert at St Aidan’s to hear a mixture of well-known and lesser-known pieces: Vivaldi’s Gloria, Bach’s Cantata 147, which includes the famous ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’ and Dixit Dominus, by Isabella Leonarda, (1620-1704), a little-known Italian composer who spent her life in a convent and had composed 200 works by the time she was 80!
