CoMA Festival Open Participation - Birmingham

Coma

Based in the West Midlands? Interested in exploring some new music and meeting local musicians? Come join us for a fun & playful day of music-making, hosted at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire!

On the day, participants will form a 'scratch band' to play some exciting works from the CoMA Catalogue and new pieces by RBC student composers. The group will be led by composer & conductor Sara Caneva.

All instruments, voice types, abilities and levels of experience welcome.

11am-1pm: Come and play! Sara Caneva will run a scratch ensemble session, playing some fun and accessible works from the CoMA Catalogue
1-2pm: Lunch (not provided)
2-4pm: Try out some RBC student composers works

The day is part of CoMA's plans to start a regular ensemble in the West Midlands - so come take part and help the group grow! Music will be available before the sessions.

We are committed to making new music accessible to all. If the £5 participation fee would prohibit you taking part, please contact Francesca at francesca@coma.org.

All Conservatoire venues and spaces are accessible by wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Accessible toilet facilities are also available.
