St Albans Symphony Orchestra

St Albans Symphony Orchestra (SASO) returns to St Saviour’s Church in St Albans on Sunday November 12th 2023. The annual Family Concerts are designed to appeal to a younger audience, who are invited to attend in fancy dress (not necessarily nautical-themed), as are the orchestra members.

Nine short pieces (or extracts from longer works) will be introduced by the Conductor. The orchestra will be joined by local school singers for two of them.

Two performances are given, at 2:00 and 3:30 p.m., each with an interval, when children are invited to mingle with the orchestra and try out some of the instruments (at their owners’ discretion – percussion always a clear favourite!)
