We explore the theme of homecoming. The Jewish people being freed from Babylon to return to their homeland, the yearning for a Finnish homeland, the story of Peer Gynt’s travels and his return home. The nostalgia of a Londoner. London, a city that has served as a home to countless hearts.
The Concert includes Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco, Sibelius’s Finlandia, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite and Vaughan Williams’ A London Symphony.
