Remembrance Day Concert

Cirencester Male Voice Choir

A Concert of Remembrance in aid of the Royal British Legion. It features the acclaimed Willshire Piano Duo, who regularly tour around the UK and overseas performing a wide variety of repertoire from Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals and Britten's works for two pianos, to new commissions such as Duelogue by Rory Boyle.

They are supported by A Splash of Red, a women's choir from Fairford and by the Cirencester Male Voice Choir.

Grammy and Tony award-winning composer John Du Prez kindly gifted his work 'Flowers of the Field' to CMVC. The lyrics, written by scriptwriter Deborah Cook, tells of the flowers in the fields of the First World War battlefields. John Du Prez has written more than 20 film scores and Deborah Cook has scripted hundreds of hours of popular entertainment, including The Archers, Eastenders and House of Elliott.
