Ashtead Choral Society is delighted to be returning to the Epsom Playhouse on Saturday 8th October at 7.30pm to sing Gilbert & Sullivan in Concert. Two melodramatic comic operettas will provide a rip roaring evening of melodies and outrageous story lines! 

“The Pirates of Penzance” combines romance and mock heroics as a band of Pirates encounter a Major General, his eminently marriageable daughters and a terrified Police Force. “Trial by Jury” in one act makes the legal system the object of light-hearted satire.

Conducted by Musical Director Andrew Storey accompanied by Kent Sinfonia and soloists Kathleen Nic Dhiarmada (soprano), Susan Legg (alto), Jeff Stewart (tenor) and Mark Nathan (bass).  The concert will be narrated by Stephen Ridge.   ACS has a wide repertoire and welcomes new members.
