A Concert of Sacred Music
Some beautiful sacred choral pieces are included in the Wellingborough Orpheus Choir’s next concert at the end of March: Monteverdi’s ‘Beatus vir’, Byrd’s ‘Ave verum corpus’, Bach’s ‘Jesu, joy of man’s desiring' and ‘The Heavens are telling’ from Haydn’s ‘Creation’, plus music by Brahms, Mozart and Mendelssohn. There will also be organ solos by guest accompanist Mark Pescott, including Widor’s ‘Toccata’.
