Glasgow Sinfonia
Come and join Glasgow Sinfonia under the baton of their principal conductor Gerard Doherty, to celebrate an evening of Russian classics.
We will be playing the ever-popular "Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture" by Tchaikovsky, followed by the "Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30" by Rachmaninov, which is reputed to be the most technically demanding piano concerto in the repertoire. This evening it will be played by the Romanian soloist of international renown Viniciu Moroianu.
The evening will be completed by "Symphony No. 1 in G minor" by Kalinnikov.
Tickets are available from orchestra members and they will also be on sale at the door on the eb=vening of the concert.
