South Birmingham Sinfonia Summer Concert: An evening of dances

South Birmingham Sinfonia

South Birmingham Sinfonia is back in Bournville for an evening of classical dances. The concert features a selection of 20 different dances; from the fast and frenetic tarantella and czardas to the slow and stately bolero and waltz.

The programme comprises ballet music from Tchaikowsky’s ‘Swan Lake’ and Khachaturian’s ‘Spartacus’ as well as Borodin’s ‘Polovtsian Dances’ and Saint-Saens’ ‘Danse Macabre’, and the Rossini/ Britten, ‘Soirees Musicales’.
