Mass in Blue

Sussex Chorus

Will Todd and his Ensemble is joining Sussex Chorus for a performance of his acclaimed work Mass in Blue.  A brilliant blend of driving jazz grooves and clear, strong choral writing, this work has been performed worldwide since it was written in 2003.

Alongside two shorter Will Todd pieces, the progamme also includes George Shearing's Songs and Sonnets from Shakespeare.  Set for choir, jazz piano and bass, these engaging pieces were first performed in 1999 with guest conductor John Rutter.

Led by our new conductor, Jack Thompson, this promises to be a musically exciting evening and a treat for Sussex audiences.
