BYRD MASS FOR 4 VOICES, BRAHMS MOTETS AND RUSSIAN ANTHEMS

The concert features choral and keyboard music from the late 16th to the early 20th century.  We open with two choral pieces by Byrd followed by his keyboard work My Lady Neville’s Ground and his beautiful Mass for 4 voices completes the segment.  Moving on to the 19th century we perform Brahms’ Geistliches Lied and two of his motets.  The concert is completed by an exciting piano arrangement of the third movement of Rachmaninov’s second symphony and three Russian choral works , Rachmaninov’s Ave Maria, Tchaikovsky’s Hymn to the Virgin and Arensky’s Lord’s Prayer.
