Performance - A German Requiem by Brahms

Rotherhithe and Bermondsey Choral Society

RBCS, the Rotherhithe and Bermondsey community choir will be performing the Brahms Germand Requiem with professional soloists and a chamber orchestra. We'll be singing in German. Brahms wrote this requiem using words from the Luther bible with the intention of bringing the bereaved from distress to comfort. The music is emotional and powerful. Our conductor will, as usual, be the amazing Sue Heath Downey who set up the choir over 20 years ago and has been its musical director ever since.
