Songs of joy and hope

newChoir Oxford

The concert entitled ‘songs of joy and hope’ by NewChoir will focus on two settings of ‘Jubilate’ by Philip Moore and Bob Chilcott. These will be accompanied by Finzi’s setting to the poem by Robert Bridges; ‘My spirit sang all day’ and Holst’s ‘Tomorrow will be my dancing day’. To complete the programme, a selection of spirituals including ‘Swing low, sweet chariot’ will be performed. The performance will be conducted by Janet Lincé, accompanied by James Brown, and Carol Goodall is the soprano soloist.
