Come & Sing - Fauré Requiem

Enjoy an opportunity to sing and perform with Cheltenham Bach Choir at the popular annual Come and Sing event, led by our Director of Music, David Crown.

This year we will be singing the Fauré Requiem, one of the most beautiful settings of the Latin Requiem Mass. With its focus on forgiveness and redemption, the Requiem is justifiably popular and has been a favourite choice on BBC Radio 4's 'Desert Island Discs' for among others, Darcy Bussell, Roald Dahl and Bill Bailey.

The seven movements contain some of the composer’s most beautiful music, of which the Pie Jesu is arguably the most famous.

Our Come and Sing events are friendly and welcoming. They offer the opportunity to share a day of wonderful music making, learn more about the choir and sample some of the legendary CBC home baking!

There will be a performance at 3.15pm with Hannah Davey and Aidan Smith as soloists. Entry is free but a suggested donation of £5 would be welcome
