Much Ado with Eurythmia Ensemble

Much Ado

Eurythmia Ensemble, St Mary Magdalen's Chapel, Ripon.
In Aid oSt Mary Magdalen's Chapel

Join classical vocal group Eurythmia Ensemble for a summer evening of music in the historical setting of St Mary Magdalen's Chapel, Ripon on Saturday 7th July.

Eurythmia Ensemble is a newly formed classical vocal group based in the heart of Harrogate. Equally happy performing in the splendid surroundings of Fountains Abbey or turning Leeds Station into a Catherdral, the 10 singers, led by Musical Director Catherine Field-Leather are keen to breathe new life into old and new scores.

The programme is a summer blend celebrating Shakespeare, with a dash of folk, a hint of madrigals, Monteverdi  and even a little Procol Harum. All in aid of the Restoration Fund for St Mary Magdalen's Chapel. Anyone who has not visited  the Chapel really is in for a treat; the Norman doorway dates the original building as 12th century, inside the tiny chapel is divided by a 15th century oak screen, mosaic pavement stands before the original stone altar.
