We open the Huddersfield season with a programme inspired by the musical cultures of Finland and Russia; the former country celebrating 100 years of independence in 2017. Finnish pianist Julia Wallin neatly unites with the 1st Piano Concerto of the Russian maestro Rachmaninov whilst the scintillating score of Scheherazade will showcase the entire strength and depth of the orchestra.
