Magical Music

Our final concert for the 2016-17 season is 'Magical Music'.

The programme includes the Sorcerer's Apprentice and Haydn's Trumpet Concerto in E flat with soloist James Nash. James is a talented young musician who plays trumpet in the National Youth Orchestra and is also principal trumpet with the Lancashire Youth Symphony Orchestra and Lancashire Youth Jazz Orchestra.

James will do a 'Meet the Soloist' in the interval which is an opportunity for children and young people in the audience to have a chat with James and ask him questions.

In the second half you can enjoy Beethoven Symphony No 1 in C Major and Gounod Ballet Music from Faust
