Holly Mathieson conducts Enigma Variations with the FSO

Farnborough Symphony Orchestra

The FSO is very lucky to be working with Holly Mathieson, Assistant Conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, for our last concert of the season. We’re also excited to be playing a contemporary work by a living, female composer – Charlotte Bray’s Black Rainbow! And if that isn’t enough to entice you, the programme’s completed with Walton’s gorgeous viola concerto, with soloist Nicholas Bootiman, and the ageless Enigma Variations by Elgar – the perfect piece for a balmy June evening.

Bray - Black Rainbow

Walton - Viola Concerto, soloist Nicholas Bootman
