Phoenix Choir of Crawley - Picnic Concert
The Phoenix Choir of Crawley
Our Summer Concert will include some popular opera choruses, such as Verdi’s Anvil Chorus, Puccini’s Humming Chorus and Bizet’s Toreador March, to name just a few. There will also be some folk songs, and our guests Martineau Brass will entertain us with the rousing William Tell Overture, Vaughan Williams English Folk Song Suite, and a medley of tunes from Porgy and Bess. There will be flag waving and an invitation to join in with a few Proms favourites such as ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ and ‘Rule, Britannia’.
Bring a picnic to enjoy during an extended interval, outside if weather permits.
This is a Crawley Festival event, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the founding of Crawley New Town.
Tickets costing £12 for adults, and £6 for under 18s are available by phoning 01293 515287, from choir members, from The Music Company on Northgate Parade, or on the door subject to availability.
