Seraphim: A Musical Pilgrimage

An all-day escorted musical journey in which "pilgrims" will visit the lovely churches, bridge and cathedral which trace the story of Suffolk's own St. Edmund.  Three mini-programmes of music from the sublime female voices of Seraphim, conducted by Vetta Wise, will enhance the beauty of two idyllic remote churches near the Waveney Valley and the grandeur of one of England's largest parish churches. Travel through Suffolk's peaceful countryside.  Hear a selection of a cappella and accompanied works, from early medieval chants and the haunting melodic shapes of Hildegard to the modern mastery of living composers.  Learn of the mysteries and miracles surrounding a martyred young king.  Enjoy mid-morning and tea-time refreshments and lunch at an historic coaching inn.  Coach travel, refreshments, lunch and cathedral tour included in the price.
