Handel: Messiah

Burgess Hill Choral Society

Handel’s best-known choral work, by an innovator and master of the genre.

Burgess Hill Choral Society, a well-regarded local choir, will be accompanied by the Burgess Hill Concert Orchestra, conducted by Mike Wood BEM.  The concert features four soloists from the Royal College of Music.  Refreshments will be available during the interval.

The concert venue is a short taxi trip or 20 minute walk from Burgess Hill main line railway station (or 10 minutes walk from Wivelsfield Station).  Car parking is available on streets near the venue.  The venue has disabled access.

Burgess Hill Choral Society is one of the foremost choirs in the area, and has been in existence for 70 years. Meeting weekly on Monday evenings, this 80-strong choir has performed most of the standard choral repertoire. New members are always welcome: there is no audition. Rehearsals are fun and performing standards are high. For more details, see website: http://www.burgesshillchoralsociety.org.uk
