Music of War and Peace

A concert for Remembrance, with appropriate words and music, and telling the stories of local men and the First World War (all relatives of choir members), narrated by the Mayor of Chesterfield, Cllr. Steve Brunt. Four British Legion Standards will be paraded. The presentation in pictures and music will include the stories, poetry, Songs from the Trenches, Songs from the First World War, Elgar's 'Nimrod' played on the church's magnificent organ by guest organist Jonathan Scott, Paul Maelor 'Wherever You Are', 'For the Fallen' and the Choral Suite from 'The Armed Man' by Karl Jenkins. A concert not to be missed.
