Earlier this year the BBC selected five orchestras of the best amateur orchestras from across the UK to take part in All Together Now: The Great Orchestra Challenge - a nation-wide search for the orchestra that best captures the spirit of great British amateur music-making in the UK. The People’s Orchestra was one Now back in their home town one of the UK’s most innovative orchestras is about to swing! Taking its inspiration from the big bands of the swing era the orchestra will be performing some of the classic original arrangements of Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller and George Gershwin as well as some swing arrangements of the classics. As an added bonus the orchestra will play some of the tunes from the hit BBC show and some of their favourites too. With a 70+ piece orchestra the joint will be jumpin’! Truly a BLACK COUNTRY BIG NIGHT OUT!
