HASTINGS SINFONIA'S SUMMER CONCERT OF POPULAR MUSIC WITH
THOMASIN TREZISE (SOPRANO) AND AYAKA TANIMOTO (MEZZO-SOPRANO)
The Hastings Sinfonia will be performing once again on Saturday 16th July at 7.30pm at St John the Evangelist Church, Brittany Road, St. Leonards-on-Sea TN38 0RD a programme of short, well known classics.
The concert will include many works such as: Die Fledermaus Overture by Strauss, 1st movt. of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony, Poet And Peasant Overture by Suppe, and Elgar's Pomp And Circumstance March Number 1 (bring your flags and join in with Land Of Hope And Glory) Plus young Flautist Daisy Noton will be performing the 1st movt. of Flute Concerto in G by Mozart,
together with popular opera arias including, Flower Duet by Delibes and O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini.
In addition there will be two world premieres of arias from Polo Piatti's new opera 'Mata Hari' plus Duty Sublime a piece especially commissioned to commemorate the 90th birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth 11 also by Polo Piatti.
Tickets £10 in advance or £12 at the door, children under the age of 16 are free (ticket required)
