SWINGTIME

Parbold Chamber Choir's summer"Swingtime" concert involves a varied and entertaining programme with some syncopated swing singing.

  The main works are Bob Chilcott's "Little Jazz Mass" and George Shearing's "Songs and Sonnets", both of which involve lilting close harmony. A double bass player will be joining Peter Kwater, our regular pianist, in accompanying the Little Jazz Mass.

  There will be some lightweight songs for this summer evening including the rhythmic "Tequila Samba" by Guy Turner.

  Tickets cost £10 will include a buffet supper. The audience are asked to bring their own drinks.

  This will be a popular concert in quite a small venue, so booking in advance is advisable.
