“Let us Garlands Bring”: A Musical Celebration of Shakespeare

Kingston Choral Society marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death with a deliciously varied programme of Shakespearean music. Vaughan Williams’ cantata based on The Merry Wives of Windsor and Finzi’s exquisite Shakespeare songs rub shoulders with a fascinating tribute by the eighteenth-century composer Thomas Linley and the seductive Songs and Sonnets by jazz pianist George Shearing.
