The '150' - celebrating composers born in 1865

In this concert celebrating composers born in 1865, Sibelius is represented with two of his best-loved works: his Karelia Suite and the epic and life-affirming 5th Symphony.

Also from the 'class of 1865' - Nielsen’s wonderful sunrise evocation Helios Overture, Glazunov’s gorgeous and inventive Violin Concerto with exciting young violinist Eloisa-Fleur Thom and the fantastic (and fantastical) The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Dukas.

There will be a retiring collection in aid of Smile with Siddy

Tickets £15, £13, £10, £8 (concessions £2 discount), children £1 [+fee] are available online at www.bristolconcertorchestra.org.uk
