An informal and accessible concert for all ages

This concert presents an eclectic selection of music and song.

The orchestra will play lively marches, energetic dances and summery tunes, including:
• ‘Grand March from Aida’ by Verdi
• ‘Pomp and Circumstance March No.4’ by Elgar
• ‘Coriolan’ overture by Beethoven
• And music by Ivor Novello, Kenneth Platts and Johannes Brahms

Special guest performers, Hummersknott Academy chamber choirs, also present a wide-ranging programme with songs from musicals, ‘Nella Fantasia’ and music by Elton John.

Free printed programmes provide background info about the composers and music being played. There will also be a children’s programme written specially for 5- to -11-years-old to help them enjoy the concert too.
