In this varied and uplifting concert, Worcester Festival Choral Society performs Ralph Vaughan Williams's stunning, 1936 cantata Dona Nobis Pacem (in English, 'Grant us Peace'); offerring a moving plea for peace amidst fears of a new war. The concert also includes one of Czech composer Antonin Dvořák's finest choral works, Te Deum; the meltingly romantic Alto Rhapsody by German composer Johannes Brahms; and the exciting, exotic Polovtsian Dances from the epic opera Prince Igor by Russian composer Alexander Borodin.
