On Saturday 21st March at 7.00pm in the Causeway Barn, pianist Amiri Harewood, supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, presents a recital of radiant contrasts. His first half blends the clarity and intensity of Shostakovich’s Preludes and Fugues with the romantic depth of Rachmaninoff’s Preludes, complemented by the charm of Granados’s Valses Poéticos. After the interval, Harewood brings his expressive conviction to George Walker’s Piano Sonata No. 5, finishing with the majesty and joyous invention of Bach’s Partita No. 4. A rising star in full musical flight.
