Making the most of your Making Music membership (online event)

About the event:

Your Making Music membership offers a wealth of benefits designed to support the running your music group and save you time, effort and money, as well as offer ideas and inspiration. But are you making the most of it?  

In this event we will explain what you have access to – and how we can help, with a particular focus on showing you how to navigate and make the most of all the features on the new Making Music website. 

Please note: this event will be focused on giving an overview of what is available to members and how you can make the most of them, we will not have time to go in depth about specific topics. 

We'll talk about:

• How and where to find everything you need on the new Making Music website 
• Sharing the load – how to get more people in your group access 
• The huge range of topics our support covers 
• The different types of help and support we offer - e.g. phone, events, online guidance 
• Our premium services; the Making Music Platform, Chairty Registration and Creative Tax Reliefs 
• The lobbying and advocacy work we do to support groups 

There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the event.

Who this event is for: Anyone is welcome to attend this event, but it will be especially useful for any new committee members, groups that are new to Making Music, or just anyone who feels they could be getting more out of their membership.

Cost: FREE for members

We will be using Zoom to host the meeting, and will email you the joining link two days and again two hours before the event is due to start.

• Questions will be taken via the chat function at this event
• Automated closed captions (subtitles) will be available at this event. If you require live captioning, please contact us to request this

Recording information:
We may decide to record this event, either for publishing on our website, or so that we can review it internally.
•    We will announce at the beginning of the event if a recording is being made and what it will be used for
•    We will usually record in speaker view, meaning only people who speak will be recorded
•    If you speak, your image and voice will be captured in the recording
•    Attendee names as displayed in a Zoom meeting will not be captured in the recording
•    If you do not want your live image to be captured, you may turn off your camera during the event. However, please be aware that if you do, your name will be displayed in place of your image, unless you have uploaded an image to your profile in Zoom
•    Breakout rooms will not normally be recorded
•    Your comments in the chat box will not form part of the recording
