Trumpet Wanted - Paddock Orchestra

Paddock Orchestra

Paddock Orchestra is a well-established amateur orchestra based in the Huddersfield area, known for its high-spirited performances and welcoming community of players. With around 40 members, the orchestra rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings during term time and presents at least three public concerts each year featuring a broad range of classical repertoire. The group often collaborates with local soloists and enjoys exploring a variety of orchestral works in friendly and supportive surroundings.

We are currently looking for a 2ND TRUMPET for the rest of the 2026 season and beyond. The new player will join an established and talented wind section, so a minimum standard of grade 6 with some orchestra experience is preferred, but we are open to hearing from players at all stages in their musical journey.

Committed to being inclusive and accessible, Paddock Orchestra does not require formal auditions; interested musicians of all abilities are invited to attend rehearsals on a trial basis to see if the ensemble feels like the right fit.

Whether you’re an experienced amateur, a returning player, or a learner eager to make music in an ensemble, Paddock Orchestra offers a warm, engaging space to develop musicianship and enjoy live performance.
