Burnley Municipal Choir
About
We are a friendly, four part choir 120 strong founded in 1920. A Recovery Group was established in 2021 to resume singing as and when relaxation of Covid restrictions were lifted. A number of outdoor social events took place and then rehearsals outside were started. Eventually, we were able to move indoors. Our aim continues to be to bring to our audiences less familiar works as well as old favourites. This season the first concert in October was entitled “Songs from Stage and Screen”. December sees us sing Handel’s Messiah with a Christmas Concert later in the month. Next year, we will be singing Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius in May 2025.
