Sunderland Male Voice Choir
About
Originally formed as Shiney Row Male Voice Choir in 1959. Changed its name to Sunderland Male Voice Choir in July 2022 in an attempt to reach out to all communities in Sunderland and the surrounding areas. At the same time The Right Worshipful The Mayor of the City of Sunderland became the Patron of the Choir.
The Choir has embarked on a programme of creating new songs based upon the local heritage and people of the region.
Philip Dixon is the Choir's musical director.
